Our Volunteers Are The Best!
The I-500 Project Board of Directors extend their hear- felt appreciation for all the help offered at the July 20th I-500 "Work-B".
The people who volunteer to help the I-500 project making it all possible are among a unique group and are certainly in a class of their own. It's a special person who steps UP to help by volunteering on and above their own individual daily routines. These people recognize the individual reward as being self fulfilling.
The volunteer aspect of the I-500 Project is nothing less then a "story in itself". A story that goes untold more then it should. Without volunteers like those who help make the I-500 possible, the I-500 wouldn't be what it is today or have the possibility of being all it can be going into the future.
Individuals giving of their personal time and energy. People coming together for the good of the project, community, region and snowmobiling in general. These people are not self indulging people. They're caring people and proud to help. The impact they have reaches far beyond the race track. They create a path for positive economic impact throughout the whole Eastern U.P. Region and beyond to other areas. Their involvements help create employment opportunities and helps to bring community spirit to many which drives progress into a new level of recognition. They help build family memories for thousands each year and most certainly have impacted the snowmobile & recreation industry in many ways.
They give of their personal time not to mention their "Family" time as well. They mentor future volunteers and help to keep volunteerism alive. The most important aspect of such volunteers is one of "integrity". These people BELIEVE in the I-500 project and all it does for so many. Their families have had volunteers participating and helping for decades. Their "in-house generosity" is second to none in that regard.
When do you stop praising such caring individuals who hold so much pride in their personal lives and passion to work on what they believe in as volunteers? YOU DON'T. NEVER stop praising such people. They are priceless and should be recognized for their efforts by anyone connected to the project or sport of snowmobiling in general. They should be recognized by those who KNOW how much it takes to be a volunteer and do what they do. We must NEVER forget such caring people. We should learn from them and encourage more people to care as these volunteers do. We need to recognize how important volunteerism is to everyone and what it can mean to individuals considering who might be considering a volunteer position.
One cannot emphasize the importance of volunteer participation. It takes a special person to be a volunteer committed to their cause.
All being stated... the I-500 Board of Directors wish to express their up most respect and appreciation for those who help the project as volunteers.
Thank YOU for your help and your attitude. We need more people to volunteer as you have!
