The Format
Contestants will dine and meet one-on-one with pageant judges on the Thursday before the race. Judges will ask each contestant about herself, her hobbies and interests, future plans, and how she plans to promote the I-500 Snowmobile Race if selected as Queen.
On the Friday before the race, contestants will be introduced to the audience in the form of a fashion show. Each contestant will wear either or costume or uniform that reflects her personality, hobbies, career aspirations, or sports affiliations.
The talent portion of the pageant will immediately follow the fashion show. Each contestant will have 3 minutes to present a talent routine.
Finally, contestants will model a floor-length evening gown.
Audience Choice Award
This trophy is given to the contestant whom the AUDIENCE, not the judges pick! Each contestant will have a container in the back of the tent during the pageant
with her name and photo on it. The audience can vote by putting money in a contestant's designated container. The contestant with the highest dollar value in her
container at the end of the pageant will receive the Audience Choice trophy.
This is JUST FOR FUN and a great fundraiser for the Pink Ribbon Riders!
100% of the money collected via the Audience Choice vote goes directly to the breast cancer patients that Pink Ribbon Riders assist financially. In order to raise as much money as possible for this worthy charity, contestants are permitted to start collecting “proxy votes” as soon as their application packet is turned in.
